The Habit Sticks If You Actually Want It
Most supplements get taken for about two weeks. Then the pouch migrates to the back of the cupboard and stays there.
This is just a drink. Matcha with collagen, whisked into warm milk, about a minute start to finish. No shaker bottle. No chalky aftertaste. Nothing you have to talk yourself into.
Matcha That Doesn't Taste Like a Dare
If you've tried matcha and quietly decided it wasn't for you, it was probably one of three things: the grade, the water temperature, or too much milk drowning it.
We can fix two of those. Our matcha is Japanese ceremonial grade, the young top leaf, stone milled fine enough to stay suspended instead of sinking to the bottom. With only two other ingredients in the blend, a lesser grade has nowhere to hide, so we didn't use one. And a full gram of it per cup means you can actually taste it once the milk goes in.
The third one is on you, and it takes five seconds: water under 75°C. Boiling water scalds matcha and turns it bitter. That single detail is behind most of the bad matcha anyone has ever had.
Why Coconut Blossom Sugar?
Because of how it tastes against matcha. Coconut blossom sugar is evaporated palm sap rather than refined white sugar, and it carries a caramel note that sits well against the grassiness. Plain sugar at the same weight would be flatter, and you would notice.
The alternative was a sweetener blend. Sucralose or stevia, an erythritol bulking agent, and usually a flavouring on top to cover the aftertaste. Three or four ingredients doing the job of one, on a pouch whose whole point is that you can read the label in a breath.
So: 1.8g per serving, about a third of a teaspoon, in a cup that comes to 26 calories. We would rather use a little real sugar and tell you exactly how much.
No flavourings. No anti-caking agents. Nothing in there to pad it out.
Why Not Just Buy Matcha and Collagen Separately?
You can, and if you want to control the ratio yourself, you probably should. We sell both.
What you get here instead is one spoon instead of three, a matcha already sweetened to the point where it works rather than one you have to keep adjusting, and a blend that dissolves together rather than fighting each other in the cup. That's the whole trade: less control, considerably less faff.
What You're Actually Drinking
A gram of Japanese ceremonial grade matcha, which is what a proper matcha is made with. 4000mg of collagen peptides you cannot taste. A third of a teaspoon of coconut blossom sugar to round the edges off. 26 calories, before whatever milk you pour in.
That's a matcha latte. It just happens to have collagen in it.
- 1000mg Japanese ceremonial grade matcha (Camellia sinensis)

Three Ingredients, and That's the Whole Pitch
Turn over most matcha collagen latte pouches and you'll count a dozen ingredients once the flavourings, sweeteners, gums and anti-caking agents are in. The matcha is often fourth or fifth down the list.
Ours reads: collagen, coconut blossom sugar, matcha. That's it, in order. You can read the whole thing in one breath and know exactly what's in your cup.
A Fiver's Worth of Coffee Shop, or Three Weeks of This
Circa £1.00 a cup. The same drink over a counter is typically £4 to £5, more again if you take it iced, and usually with 20+ grams the sugar.
Five days of buying out costs roughly what the whole pouch does. And this one has 4000mg of collagen peptides in it.
Hot in Winter. Iced in Summer. Same Pouch.
Two heaped teaspoons, warm water, whisk, top with milk. In July, the same paste over ice with cold milk.
Wellgard Matcha Collagen Latte is a collagen matcha food supplement made with three ingredients: bovine hydrolysed collagen peptides, coconut blossom sugar and Japanese ceremonial grade matcha powder (Camellia sinensis). Each 7g serving provides 4000mg of hydrolysed collagen peptides and 1000mg of ceremonial grade matcha for 26 kcal, with 3.9g of protein and 1.8g of sugars. The 140g pouch holds 20 servings.
The matcha is Japanese ceremonial grade, the young top leaf, stone milled fine enough to suspend in liquid rather than settle at the bottom of the cup. This is what allows a matcha with collagen blend this short to whisk smooth without flavourings or anti-caking agents. A full gram of matcha per serving sits in the range used for a plain matcha, so the matcha remains the dominant flavour once milk is added.
The collagen is hydrolysed into shorter peptides for easy mixing in both hot and cold liquid. The complete 18 line amino acid profile is printed on the pouch and is led by glycine at 880mg, proline at 508mg and hydroxyproline at 476mg per serving.
The coconut blossom sugar is evaporated palm sap rather than refined white sugar and is included for taste, at 1.8g per serving, roughly a third of a teaspoon.
To prepare as a matcha collagen latte, mix 7g, approximately two heaped teaspoons, with 30 to 40ml of warm water no hotter than 75C. Whisk with a milk frother until smooth, then top with 90ml of warm dairy or plant based milk. For an iced version, whisk the paste in the same way and add cold milk over ice. No scoop is included, to reduce unnecessary plastic, so use a clean dry spoon and reseal the pouch after each use.
